no. 4  (cat woman's love meow)

walking down the ally you thought you were safe
i thought you were too
but then i felt a pulse rising up in my throat
growl
hiss,
purr,
ssst
and pointy little ears sticking out of my head
turning like radar after words that you said

felt a beat in my feet as they followed your trail
a tune in my head, a flick in my tail

wanna put on my vinyl and lick ya
just polish my teeth and nick ya
tap my feet and kick ya

you walking down the alley with your big man steps
thought you were tough but you haven't had it rough yet

yowl

i was waiting in the shadows all shiny and black
you never even heard the swish or the crack

cats don't tear but take neat little bites
bite into those arms, all tender and white

seems like years I've been watching the street
blinking in the dark
biding my time
holding my breath
listening for steps
waiting for your shadow to come down the alleyway
looking for a short cut or just an easy way

you can get there if you let me
put on my vinyl and lick ya
put on my meow and sic ya
take out my whip and flick ya
make you all hot and quick, yeah
